There’s an established lettings operation, a strong flow of property, experienced people around you and a separate Property Management function, meaning the lettings team can concentrate on letting properties, working with applicants and landlords, and generating business rather than spending the day dealing with maintenance issues.

The role

You’ll join the Coventry lettings team and take responsibility for helping turn enquiries and available properties into successful tenancies.

You’ll be speaking with applicants, understanding what they’re looking for, matching them to suitable homes and making sure opportunities aren’t missed.

There will also be plenty of contact with landlords, so you’ll need to be comfortable building relationships and representing the business professionally.

Key responsibilities

Registering and qualifying new applicants
Matching applicants to suitable available properties
Arranging and carrying out viewings
Following up viewings and converting interest into applications
Negotiating offers between applicants and landlords
Keeping landlords informed throughout the letting process
Making the most of new business and referral opportunities
Maintaining a high standard of customer service from enquiry through to move-in

What will help you succeed

Previous estate agency or lettings experience would be a real advantage, particularly if you’re already working as a Lettings Negotiator and want to move to a more established operation.

You’ll be confident speaking with applicants and landlords, commercially aware and comfortable asking the right questions to move a deal forward.

Above all, you’ll enjoy the sales side of lettings and want to work somewhere that gives you the stock, enquiries and support to perform.
