Scale Your Property Career with Stoke's Independent Lettings Leader

Are you stuck juggling unrealistic portfolio sizes, firefighter daily tasks, and outdated software that slows down your day? Stepping into this established, independent residential specialist in Stoke-on-Trent allows you to take true ownership of a realistic, manageable portfolio where tenant retention and landlord loyalty take center stage.

Trading locally for over fifteen years, this independent brand holds one of the largest market shares across the ST postcode area, built entirely on recommendation and transparent service. With an average staff tenure exceeding six years and ongoing investment in automated maintenance management platforms, you will join a stable, well-resourced office where your expertise is genuinely supported rather than stretched to breaking point.

As Property Manager, you will manage landlord relationships, oversee planned maintenance, and ensure total statutory compliance across your portfolio.

Key responsibilities (brief)

  • Drive long-term tenancy renewals through proactive maintenance strategies and regular portfolio reviews.
  • Oversee routine property inspections and generate detailed digital condition reports for landlords.
  • Coordinate contractor workflows, vetting quotes to ensure cost-effective repairs without compromising quality.
  • Navigate statutory compliance requirements, keeping safety certifications, gas safety, and electrical checks fully up to date.
  • Resolve landlord and tenant enquiries efficiently to protect rental yields and ensure ongoing tenancy satisfaction.
  • Manage check-ins, inventory checks, and end-of-tenancy deposit negotiations with balanced, professional dispute resolution.

What will help you succeed

  • Hands-on residential property management experience within a lettings agency or professional landlord framework.
  • Up-to-date working knowledge of UK lettings legislation, AST agreements, and safety regulations.
  • Proven capability handling maintenance scheduling, contractor management, and deposit negotiations.
  • Highly organised approach with strong local geographic knowledge across Stoke-on-Trent and surrounding Staffordshire areas.

What is on offer

  • Salary of £27,500 per annum depending on industry experience.
  • Balanced Monday to Friday schedule with no routine Sunday or late-evening working.
  • Full funding and study leave support for ARLA / Propertymark qualifications.
  • Clear internal progression route toward Senior Property Management or Branch Operational roles.
  • Free on-site parking in central Stoke-on-Trent with company mileage allowances provided.

If you are ready to manage a well-maintained portfolio within a business that values quality of service over sheer volume, submit your CV today or get in touch for a confidential discussion.
